Homegrown RVA

Project Overview

I designed and developed the official website for Homegrown RVA, a local bar and marketplace concept in Richmond, Virginia. The goal of the site was to establish a bold, welcoming online presence that reflects the brand’s commitment to community connection, Virginia-crafted spirits, local food, and regional artists.

My Role & Contributions

  • UI/UX Design: Crafted an intuitive, aesthetically rich layout that balances event promotion, story-driven content, and location details.
  • Front-End Development: Built a fully responsive web experience, ensuring smooth performance and navigation across desktop and mobile devices.
  • Content Architecture: Organized key brand touchpoints into structured, easily navigable sections—including community event listings, vendor spotlights, and an announcement section for their expansion to Richmond International Airport (RIC).
  • Brand Strategy Integration: Aligned typography, color palettes, and imagery with the brand’s warm, community-focused identity.

Key Site Features

  • Brand Storytelling: Highlights the establishment’s mission around inclusivity and locally sourced craftsmanship.
  • Event Engine: Integrated section showcasing pop-up events and weekly community activations (e.g., Homegrown Thursdays at The Beet Box).
  • Airport Expansion Section: Dedicated landing area introducing the brand’s upcoming presence in Concourse A at RIC Airport.
  • Vendor Showcase: Formatted layout connecting patrons with local partner distillers, producers, and artists.
